Where are you? What are your goals? The purpose of heat pump systems is when you need higher temperatures then you can conduct from the heat source. You can build a solar thermal heat pump system for the same price as a geothermal system and have a much higher COP. Tell me what you are trying to do. By the way, no company manufactures a mass driven system because it is valves, tubing, ductwork, knowhow and experience. You are paying for the design and installation by someone who understands what they are doing. There is no school to teach people what I do, and very few of us are out there! Brian

This site is all about building a cool, energy efficient house, that makes maximum use of earth sheltered design, passive solar heating and cooling, geothermal exchange energy management, and right sizing of the house for it's designated use. The home's placement is on a south-facing hillside in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. This site describes the design process, the technologies used and the expected results. We also have a comprehensive Links Page for anyone who is also interested in designing a similar project. |
