Hi

I just went through this question with someone else recently, and I realized that replacing a sensor did mess with expressions.

The problem is that once you enter an expression, it doesn't have space to remember the original name of the inputs, it just remembers their ID. So if you change out a sensor, even though you give it the same name as the original, any expression that refers to it won't automatically adapt to it's new device ID.

After swapping out the sensor as you descibe, I would then change the name of the original sensor slot to "OldSensor".

Then if you go and edit any expression that references that sensor, it's name will show up as "OldSensor". You can then change this to the propper name.

I'll have to think about a way to make this easier.

As for the enclosure... I only have an enclosure for the latest COMBO Boards. (They say Ver 1.3 on the corner of the board). I think yours predates this. Prior Ver 1.3, the boards were too small for my standard enclosure. If you have a Ver 1.3 board you could order a Potted Sensor ($10) and just add a note to the order telling me you really want a COMBO box).

This site is all about building a cool, energy efficient house, that makes maximum use of earth sheltered design, passive solar heating and cooling, geothermal exchange energy management, and right sizing of the house for it's designated use. The home's placement is on a south-facing hillside in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. This site describes the design process, the technologies used and the expected results. We also have a comprehensive Links Page for anyone who is also interested in designing a similar project.
