Posted by Bill - WEL0043 on Tuesday, 25 May 2010, at 8:40 a.m., Bill, you need to go 'down and back' with whatever cable you're using for your 1-wire bus for the RH sensor. Otherwise, the longer this 'stub' is, the worse it will affect your 1-wire bus' reliability. Also, I have 2 RH sensors (HB) on my 1-wire bus. I am not powering these parisitically. I've got these hooked up to the WEL's unregulated DC power connection. Don't know if this makes a difference, but, thought I'd at least comment. Best regards, Bill Responses Post a New Response
This site is all about building a cool, energy efficient house, that makes maximum use of earth sheltered design, passive solar heating and cooling, geothermal exchange energy management, and right sizing of the house for it's designated use. The home's placement is on a south-facing hillside in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. This site describes the design process, the technologies used and the expected results. We also have a comprehensive Links Page for anyone who is also interested in designing a similar project. |
