Using a new Splice Crimp [ Read Responses | Post a New Response | Return to the Index ]
Posted by Phil on Tuesday, 18 May 2010, at 4:13 p.m. I'm always looking for better ways to crimp the temperature sensors onto the 1-wire bus, so I've started using/providing the 3M UB2A crimp. I's a blue rectangular crimp that was around a while back, but I think it's been improved. It handles my wire more easily than the round crimp, and it has a neat pre-crimp action that holds it onto the bus wire so you can more easilly insert the sensor wire. I've done a little you-tube video showing how to use them. Responses Post a New Response
This site is all about building a cool, energy efficient house, that makes maximum use of earth sheltered design, passive solar heating and cooling, geothermal exchange energy management, and right sizing of the house for it's designated use. The home's placement is on a south-facing hillside in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. This site describes the design process, the technologies used and the expected results. We also have a comprehensive Links Page for anyone who is also interested in designing a similar project. |
