Posted by Phil on Tuesday, 11 May 2010, at 9:35 a.m., Ha.... I just went to your display page and saw the huge power spike on your graphs. After a minute's thought I realized what had happened. While you were doing your deletion, you had to turn off the bus scanning. You must have left it off for a while (hour maybe) and during that time, the power pulses were still accumulating in the measurement device. When you re-enabled scanning, the WEL went out and read the pulses and it saw a "huge" usage. This actually resulted in a correct calculation of the accumulated power, but made it look like one hour's worth hapenned in 1 minute. I fixed your chart to eliminate the pulse.... I'll have to think about that.....

This site is all about building a cool, energy efficient house, that makes maximum use of earth sheltered design, passive solar heating and cooling, geothermal exchange energy management, and right sizing of the house for it's designated use. The home's placement is on a south-facing hillside in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. This site describes the design process, the technologies used and the expected results. We also have a comprehensive Links Page for anyone who is also interested in designing a similar project. |
