Posted by Phil on Saturday, 19 December 2009, at 9:40 a.m., Down-load the manual for your wattnode and look up the formulae for determining the Watthaours per pulse per CT amp. Then multiply this number by your CT amp rating x 60. The only one I'm not sure about it the third leg. I never know whether yoyou ned to double the scale factor to accomodate the single 220 phase measurement. All of these calculations can be done using the callibration page to set the correct scale. To calculate the whole house power value, you need to use an expression to add the P1 and P2 values together (since your meter is providing two outputs for the two house phases) Add an expression and then name it WholeHouse. Make it the sum of the two live pulse values. Then to calculate daily and monthly energy usage, set the "Accumulation" for "WholeHouse" to 'b' and you will get accumulated KWh as WholeHouse_D and WholeHouse_M Phil.

This site is all about building a cool, energy efficient house, that makes maximum use of earth sheltered design, passive solar heating and cooling, geothermal exchange energy management, and right sizing of the house for it's designated use. The home's placement is on a south-facing hillside in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. This site describes the design process, the technologies used and the expected results. We also have a comprehensive Links Page for anyone who is also interested in designing a similar project. |
