Hi

I currently don't have a way to accumulate yearly data. I'm thinking about it, but I realy must caution everyone about relying on the WEL or WELServer to maintain data for extended periods.

For example Dewayne, I know that you've setup charts that run for a year. (picking up bad habits from Bill :)

There's nothing intrinsically wrong with this, but it is putting a huge amount of faith in a very complex system (WEL, Internet, Welserver etc.)

Anything from a WEL glitch to a server maintenance cycle could cause these charts to be reset for some unknown reason. It could happen very easily so I don't want it to be a huge surprize if it does.

I STRONLY recommend that everyone does their own WEL data backup in the form of periodically down-loading and then archiving their own WEL logs. This will enable you to recreate old data or post process data to track even longer term trends.

Bottom line.... "stuff happens" so make sure that a WEL chart isn't your only record of trends that take a year to accumulate.

Phil

This site is all about building a cool, energy efficient house, that makes maximum use of earth sheltered design, passive solar heating and cooling, geothermal exchange energy management, and right sizing of the house for it's designated use. The home's placement is on a south-facing hillside in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. This site describes the design process, the technologies used and the expected results. We also have a comprehensive Links Page for anyone who is also interested in designing a similar project.
